Summer is here and we at Athlas Training Team Fort Lauderdale have a lot of fun things in store for your kids. June 14th – June 19th starts our kids summer camp and we couldn’t be more excited!
This year’s summer camp is important because this past year has been especially difficult for many kids. They’ve been stuck inside due to covid and have not been as active as previous years. Many kids have not been attending school in person and have instead opted for online classes through Zoom. This means they have not been socializing and interacting with other kids their own age, which is crucial for developing social skills that will serve them the rest of their life.
Our summer camp is a great alternative to your kids staying inside and playing video games or watching Netflix. We pride ourselves on combining fun and games along with plenty of physical exercise, activities and learning, all in a safe, clean, supervised environment. Your kids will workout and learn valuable martial arts skills under our experienced instructors.
Some of the martial arts they’ll learn include grappling arts like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and Judo as well as striking martial arts like Muay Thai kickboxing. The type of techniques they will learn and type of training they will participate in will vary depending on their age and experience level. We will have something for everyone from kids who have never trained martial arts before to experienced competitors who are preparing for upcoming tournaments like the IBJJF Pan Kids.
While they will be getting plenty of physical exercise, they will also participate in other fun activities like arts and crafts, movies and games.
While this week’s session is unfortunately sold out, we will be offering another week-long summer camp next month from July 12 – July 23. So, if you missed out on this week, make sure to book your spot for next month while spots are still available.
